There are 12 main meridians, or rivers of energy, that run through the body bilaterally.  6 come to the surface above the radial artery on the left and 6 come to the surface above the radial artery on the right.  Several times through out treatment these pulses are felt and evaluated in order to design your treatment specifically for you.

About Your Practitioner
Joni Jackson, as the owner of Inner Phoenix Acupuncture, LLC, works WITH a person rather ON a person.  She educates a person how acupuncture works and what the person can do to maximize the effects of there treatment and attain their desired goals.  Worsley Five Element Acupuncture treatment works best when there is a partnership between the practitioner and the client.  Joni has the utmost respect for where a client is in their life, how they got there, and where they desire to go from there.  When performed in this manner, the results a person experiences are more effective and long lasting.  During your treatment you will receive undivided attention and have an opportunity to discuss any and all concerns you may have.

"Does Acupuncture Hurt?"
Truth is, the sensation experienced during acupuncture is different for everyone.  Many people think the sensation they experience through acupuncture needles feel good.  In WFEA treatment there are a couple of protocols requiring more than one needle to be in at one time.  In most treatments, each point will be moxa-ed and needled one at a time. Needles are very small, about the diameter of two hairs, and are always sterile, single use, and disposable.
